Child, Adult, & Family Services
The Child, Adult, and Family Division is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children/youth in a permanent family home. This division within Human Services offers:
- Assessment of child abuse and neglect allegations
- Family preservation services
- Family reunification services
- Prevention
- Temporary foster care, kinship care, and treatment services
- Resolution of extreme conflict between youth and parents
- Adoption, guardianship, emancipation, and other permanency options when children cannot be reunified with parents

Child Protection Intake Program
The Intake Section responds to a variety of concerns about children and their families.
Ongoing Protective & Reunification Services
Ongoing Child Protection and Reunification Services serves children from birth to 18 years of age who have been identified as being at-risk or are victims of child abuse and neglect.
Kinship Care
Children are in kinship care when they cannot live with their parents, but live full-time with a relative or any non-relative who has a longstanding relationship with the child or family.
Foster Care
Foster care provides children with a temporary time to heal until they can return home, be adopted, or live independently.
Permanency Services
Permanency Services works with children, youth, and families to strengthen and develop lifelong connections and homes.
Aging & Adult Services
The Adult Protection Services program serves at risk adults over the age of 18 who are, or are suspected to be, victims of mistreatment.
Report Child Abuse & Neglect
Ensure children’s safety by reporting abuse or neglect. Our dedicated team offers assessment, family services, and support for children’s safety and well-being.
Report Adult Maltreatment
The Adult Protection Services program serves at risk adults over the age of 18 who are, or are suspected to be, victims of mistreatment.
Adoption
We are seeking adoptive parents for children unable to return to their birth families due to safety concerns.
