Adams County Celebrates Newly Elected Leaders and Honors Outgoing Commissioners at 2025 Recognition and Inauguration Event

January 14th, 2025

At the 2025 Recognition and Inauguration event, Adams County proudly celebrated the swearing-in of three county commissioners, the district attorney, and eight judges, marking the start of their new four-year terms. This momentous occasion also provided an opportunity to honor the dedicated service of outgoing commissioners Eva J. Henry and Charles “Chaz” Tedesco, who each served with distinction for 12 years.

“This is a moment of both reflection and renewal,” said Emma Pinter, Chair of the Board of County Commissioners.” Adams County looks forward to a promising future under the guidance of its newly elected officials and remains grateful for the enduring impact of its outgoing leaders.”

The inauguration ceremony welcomed the following individuals to begin new four-year terms:

  • Julie Duran Mullica, Commissioner, District 1
  • Kathy Henson, Commissioner, District 2
  • Lynn Baca, Commissioner, District 5
  • Brian Mason, District Attorney

The following judges also took the oath of office:

  • Brett Martin, 17th Judicial District Judge
  • Courtney Dinnel, 17th Judicial District Judge
  • Joshua Nowak, 17th Judicial District Judge
  • Leroy Kirby, 17th Judicial District Judge
  • Madoche Jean, 17th Judicial District Judge
  • Marques Ivey, 17th Judicial District Judge
  • Martin Flaum, 17th Judicial District Judge
  • Teri Vasquez, 17th Judicial District Judge

The newly sworn-in officials bring a wealth of experience, energy, and commitment to their roles. Each is poised to address key priorities and work collaboratively to achieve the community’s goals.

“This is an exciting time for Adams County,” said David Fraser, Interim County Manager. “We’re building on a strong foundation, and I can’t wait to see what this talented group of leaders will accomplish together. The future is bright, and we’re ready to hit the ground running.”
