Floodplain Management provides a variety of services specifically dealing with drainage, including:

Flood hazard and drainage master planning studies, both county-specific and in cooperation with other local entities
Administration of Flood Control Overlay regulations and issuance of Flood Plain Use Permits
Local review and approval of Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) letters of map change (LOMCs)
Assistance to residents and businesses with drainage and flood control problems associated with public infrastructure
Cooperation and coordination with other jurisdictions to ensure the minimization of flood risk
