Local School Districts and Education

The Colorado Constitution grants locally elected school boards control over public school instruction in their districts. Adams County is served by 12 public school districts, along with public charter schools and private schools. School board members are nonpartisan and generally elected to represent their communities and advocate for students, teachers, and administrators.
