Street Seal Program
Project Overview
This Adams County project focuses on improving various paved streets identified as priorities for a seal treatment. Seal treatments extend the life of paved roads. Two different types of treatments are used slurry seals and chip seals.
- Slurry seal is applied in order to help preserve and protect the underlying pavement structure and provide a new driving surface. Roads chosen for slurry seal applications generally have low to moderate distress and narrow crack width.
- Chipseal (also chip seal) is a pavement surface treatment that combines one or more layer(s) of asphalt with one or more layer(s) of fine aggregate.

Work will begin mid-August through end of October.
