Park Ranger Services

Adams County is graced with expanses of natural beauty in the form of miles of trails meandering through acres of open space, interspersed with lakes and small bodies of clear water, all providing for an abundance of fish and wildlife. Numerous parks are designated throughout the county, providing opportunities for family enjoyment and recreation. The beauty of being surrounded by nature and the outdoors in these places provides great enjoyment to the residents of Adams County year-round. The Park Ranger Service will promote stewardship and allow for the preservation and conservation of the county’s natural resources, all while providing for positive public relations through the highest quality customer service.

Background

In 2020, the Adams County Park Ranger Service was formed within the Department of Parks, Open Space, and Cultural Arts. The Ranger Service of Adams County is multi-faceted and diverse in its duties and obligations, with the primary responsibility of informing, educating, and protecting all those that visit the parks, trails, and open space areas, while at the same time, providing for the conservation and preservation of the county’s natural resources.
