Information Technology & Innovation
The Information Technology (ITi) & Innovation Department works to:
- Assist the Board of County Commissioners and elected officials in evaluating proposals, budgets, technical plans and strategies developed by the service provider in conjunction with the governance committee;
- Develop and monitor policies and procedures performed by the service provider for the safekeeping, maintenance and repair of county-owned computer assets;
- Evaluate and monitor the adequacy of security over access to and protection of all county data;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of achieving the goals and objectives as agreed upon in the strategic planning process.

Committed to advancing public sector excellence, the department partners with the Board of County Commissioners, elected officials, and the governance committee to evaluate technical proposals, budgets, and strategic plans developed by service providers. ITI also oversees the development and enforcement of policies and procedures for the safekeeping, maintenance, and repair of county-owned technology assets, including self-contained closed systems and installed software. In addition, the department ensures robust security protocols are in place to protect all county data and continuously monitors the effectiveness of IT initiatives to ensure alignment with the county’s strategic goals and objectives.
