Treasurer & Public Trustee

Discover The Treasurer & Public Trustee Division of Adams County

The County Treasurer is responsible for mailing Property Tax Statements to property owners, collecting property taxes, and distributing those taxes to various taxing authorities (such as school districts, cities, the county, and special districts). The Treasurer does not determine the amount of tax to be collected. For questions about property values or tax amounts, please contact the Adams County Assessor’s Office.
In Colorado, the County Treasurer also serves as the Public Trustee, carrying out duties under Title 38 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, including executing Releases of Deeds of Trust and managing foreclosures.
