Commissioner Kathy Henson, District 2
Kathy Henson was elected to serve on the Adams County Board of Commissioners, District 2, in 2024. After decades as a successful performing arts professional, Kathy felt the call to public service, where she uses her leadership skills to advocate for her community and the Adams County region. She joins the commission following service on the Thornton City Council, as well as the Adams 12 School District Finance & Audit Committee. Henson, who grew up in Colorado, lives in Thornton with her husband, where they raised their two sons who are now both attending college. She brings to the board a passion for affordable housing, public safety, environmental protection, revitalization and economic development, opportunities for small businesses, and the arts.
