Our goal with this program is to address specific code violations and encourage residents to come into voluntary compliance in a timely manner.

Code Compliance Officers do not routinely patrol the streets of unincorporated Adams County looking for possible code violations. Feel free to report a code-compliance issue online through SeeClickFix, by contacting Code Compliance at 720.523.2792 #2, or by sending an email to CSWB@adamscountyco.gov.

If you receive a citation, you are responsible for paying the fine(s) and surcharges within 20 days or you must appear in court at the date and time listed.

The Citation Officer will issue the citation in person to the current resident/property owner. If contact is not made with the current resident/property owner after three attempts to issue a citation, the citation will be sent via Certified Mail.

Property owners are ultimately responsible for violations found on their property. If the violation is not remedied through the citation process, the case will be sent to the County Attorney’s office for further action to include the possibility of a court judgement pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 30-28-124.5.

A Code Compliance Officer may conduct subsequent inspections to determine if the violation has been brought into compliance. The citation-violation process will start again if the violation remains.

The Code Compliance Citation Officer listed at the bottom of the citation can be reached at codecompliancecitationprogram@adamscountyco.gov or 720.523.6466.
