Founded in 1902, Adams County blends suburban and rural life with vibrant cities, quiet towns, and ample recreation. Located in the Denver metropolitan area, it is the 5th largest county in Colorado, serving over 540,000 residents. The county lines include Brighton, Commerce City, Federal Heights, Northglenn, Thornton, and parts of Arvada, Aurora, Lochbuie, and Westminster, as well as the Town of Bennett and unincorporated communities like Henderson, Strasburg, and Watkins. We are committed to serving the communities in all these towns and cities with accountability and responsibility.


Our Hope & Responsibility
The Adams County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution in a public hearing on Jan. 18, 2012, adopting the new Adams County Mission, Vision, Value, and Goals as the framework by which the county should operate and deliver services to the taxpayers and residents of Adams County.

Sustainability of development and natural resource preservation are an integral part of our growth and redevelopment, as is interconnected and multi modal transit.
